Politicians on the interview
by Claudia Sonea
Everybody screams: Youtube is on fire! The latest invention certainly got my intentions and not only. More than 200 new videos were uploaded each day due to this project. Coping with CNN, Youtube wants to make the presidential debates watchable. The debate among Democrats Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Dennis Kucinich, Christopher Dodd, Joe Biden and Mike Gavel was revived by the uploaded videos with questions of American people. Steve Grove, YouTube's editor of news and politics, together with Cooper and a team of editors and producers'including Sam Fife and David Bohrman, CNN's political director and Washington bureau chief , selected around 30 questions for the poll debate. It sounds interesting and definitely the site has more users than ever. Participating to the political life is one step closer to the future. If everything won't turn out to be like all the shows in which politicians answer the questions by avoiding them, then it will be great. The Internet is a powerful tool and this project is one from many more to come. Hillary Clinton already makes publicity on her web site and if everything goes well, many more will follow her. The interesting thing would be if someday there will be reconsidered the utopist idea of republic that Platen had, of people participation at the public affairs. All the laws and decisions could be taken with everyone's agreement if the Internet will be used in that direction. But what do I know? But these are only pocketnews. Stay connected, one click may lead you closer to the truth. Enjoy!
